The 32A AC protection box is the central safety component for any residential solar installation up to 6.4 kVA. It provides a secure connection between your photovoltaic inverter and the national grid. This enclosure is a pre-wired photovoltaic switching and protection solution, designed to act as an interface between the inverter and the national grid.

Protection components (DIN rail)

  • Main residual current circuit breaker: 32A, 30mA, Type A-APR (High Immunity) with a breaking capacity of 4.5 kA. It protects against current leakage whilst preventing unwanted tripping of the inverter.
  • Type 2 surge arrester: Citel brand, 2-pole (Phase/Neutral), In 20kA – Imax 40kA. It protects the inverter against atmospheric surges.
  • Surge arrester protection: Dedicated 20A circuit breaker (Ph/N) with a breaking capacity of 4.5 kA.

Connection and wiring

  • Internal wiring: Carried out using HO7-VK flexible cable.
  • Earth terminal block: Capacity of 2 x 16 mm² + 5 x 10 mm² to ensure safe earthing of the entire installation.
  • Mains outputs: Terminal block compatible with copper cable up to 16 mm².
