The FlatFix Fusion Portrait left wind deflector is specifically designed for solar panels installed in portrait mode, with a width between 172 and 180 cm. This aerodynamic fairing is a crucial protective component for photovoltaic installations on flat roofs.
Its main role is to close off the mounting structure to prevent wind from rushing under the solar panels. By drastically reducing the uplift force, it ensures better structural safety and increased performance of the installation, while avoiding the "sail" effect during storms or strong winds.
This part is an integral part of ESDEC's FlatFix Fusion mounting system. Optimised aerodynamics reduce the amount of ballast (weight) required, thus preserving the total load on the building's roof structure. Made of high-performance galvanised steel, it guarantees maximum durability against corrosion and UV rays.
For optimum protection: two elements – one left and one right – are required at each end of the row to maintain controlled ventilation and perfect stability.
For panels 172 to 180 cm wide

The FlatFix Fusion left wind deflector is a crucial aerodynamic protection component for photovoltaic installations on flat roofs. Designed by ESDEC, this side fairing closes the mounting structure to prevent wind from rushing under the solar panels, thereby drastically reducing uplift force.
On a flat roof, wind creates areas of high and low pressure. Without deflectors, the installation acts like a sail, which would require excessive ballasting (weight) to remain in place.
The deflector is attached to the left side of each row of panels. Thanks to the FlatFix Fusion system, assembly is quick:
Tip: Don't forget to order the corresponding right-hand deflector to close the other end of your row and ensure symmetrical protection.
